Julius Baer: to be removed from benchmark SMI index

(CercleFinance.com) - Switzerland's stock index manager SIX said on Wednesday that Julius Baer will be removed from the benchmark SMI index, to be replaced by eye-care specialist Alcon.


The move comes as the private bank's market capitalisation was halved over the course of 2018.

The Swiss Market Index (SMI) covers the 20 largest and most liquid blue chip companies trading on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
