Swatch: Stifel leading Zurich as Stiffel upgrades to buy

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday the Swatch share is in the lead in Zurich's SMI, after Stifel analysts' upgraded the share to “buy”.


At 3.30 pm, the share of the Swiss watchmaking group was up over 3%, outpacing the SMI index (up just under 1.5%).

In research comments that it published on Monday, Stifel analysts said they were optimistic about the group's profit margins, based on a cost base that was revitalised last year.

The broker also mentions market share gains for its Omega and Longines brands in China, the prospect of a future reopening of European economies and finally the share's attractive valuation.
