Holcim: acquires concrete plants in Poland

(CercleFinance.com) - Holcim announces that it has signed an agreement with Ol-Trans, the leading ready-mix concrete producer in the Polish region of Gdansk-Sopot-Gdynia, to acquire its five concrete plants, a transaction that is expected to close in the last quarter of 2022.


With estimated net sales of 27 million Swiss francs in 2022, the transaction will strengthen Holcim's local ready-mix concrete network and firmly establish it as the market leader in northern Poland.

It will also increase sales of Holcim's ECOPact green concrete, which has a CO2 footprint that is up to 50% lower in Poland, and provide clients with better access to sustainable solutions such as Agila Fibro self-compacting concrete.
