Holcim: acquisition of Polish company Izolbet

(CercleFinance.com) - Holcim announced on Thursday that it has reached an agreement to acquire Izolbet, a Polish family-owned company specialising in the production of mortars and plasters.


The Swiss building materials giant said that the acquisition of Izobet - which has posted double-digit growth rates over the past three years - will enable it to strengthen its position in the dynamic renovation market.

Founded in 1994, Izolbet manufactures waterproofing products for concrete and plaster, as well as tar and adhesives.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
