LafargeHolcim: proposes to maintain dividend at AGM

(CercleFinance.com) - LafargeHolcim will propose to its shareholders a maintained dividend of two Swiss francs per share for the financial year 2020 at its AGM to be held on 4 May.

The dividend, paid from the group's foreign capital contribution reserve, is not subject to Swiss withholding tax, the cement giant said in a statement.

During the meeting, shareholders will also be asked to vote on the appointment of Jan Jenisch, the group's current CEO, to the board of directors.

This proposal comes after Oscar Fanjul, the vice-chairman of the board, announced his intention to step down after serving on the board since 2015.

Another important item on the agenda is the change of the group's name from "LafargeHolcim" to "Holcim", in a bid to "simplify" the business, it said.
