Credit Suisse: posts best quarterly results in a decade

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse has posted its best second-quarter results in a decade, buoyed by its market businesses in a volatile trading environment.


The Swiss wealth manager said net income attributable to shareholders increased by 24% year-on-year to 1.2 billion Swiss francs in the quarter to 30 June.

Investment banking revenue rose by 38%, with revenue from market activities up 33% year-on-year, it added.

In light of this strong performance, Credit Suisse expects to distribute a full-year dividend of 0.2776 Swiss francs per share, which was originally proposed to shareholders for the financial year 2019.

Even so, its Zurich-listed shares were down 1% after the report.
