Roche: agrees to acquire TIB Molbiol Group

(CercleFinance.com) - Roche announces that it has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of its long-term partner TIB Molbiol Group, to expand its portfolio of PCR tests for the fight against emerging infectious diseases.


With more than 45 CE-IVD tests and over 100 research-only tests joining the Roche family, the companies will jointly accelerate access to even more clinically important diagnostic tests for patients around the world, it said.

TIB Molbiol will further expand the Swiss healthcare group's molecular diagnostic solutions, in particular for the LightCycler PCR flexible open platforms and MagNA Pure sample preparation systems.
