Novartis: psoriasis drug superior to Janssen's treatment

(CercleFinance.com) - Novartis said its drug Cosentyx has been found to be more effective than Janssen's Stelara in improving the quality of life of adults with psoriasis.


A head-to-head study demonstrated the superiority of Cosentyx compared to Stelara in delivering specific quality of life (QoL) aspects in adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis at 16 weeks, the Swiss company said.

Over two-thirds of Cosentyx-treated patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis reported no impact of skin disease on their quality of life, data showed.
