Barry Callebaut: completes acquisition of ECC

(CercleFinance.com) - Barry Callebaut says that it has completed the acquisition, first announced in June, of Europe Chocolate Company (ECC), a Belgian manufacturer of chocolate specialities and decorations, which it will integrate with immediate effect.


ECC produces a wide range of industrial specialty chocolates and decorations, including sticks, loops, pieces, sheets and chips. The company operates a chocolate factory and warehouse in Malle, near Antwerp.

ECC's unique expertise and highly flexible manufacturing facility will help the company provide a wide variety of customers with highly customised chocolate specialities and decorations, the Swiss chocolatier said.
