Barry Callebaut: to build new distribution centre in Belgium

(CercleFinance.com) - Barry Callebaut is building a new distribution centre in Lokeren, Belgium, that will centralise its global logistics activities.


The Swiss manufacturer of cocoa and chocolate products said that the warehouse site will serve as a logistics hub for the global distribution of chocolate.

The site is expected to be ready in the third quarter of 2021.

The logistics hub will be fully energy-neutral, thanks to solar panels, the use of materials with low life-cycle cost, charging stations for electric vehicles, and facilities for cyclists.
