Barry Callebaut: expands capacity in Ivory Coast
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss chocolate maker Barry Callebaut said that it is expanding its cocoa processing capacity in Ivory Coast with the inauguration of a new processing unit in Abidjan.
The world's biggest manufacturer of high-quality cocoa and chocolate products has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art processing unit, which is part of a 55 million Swiss francs (around 50 million euros) investment.
The factory will increase its SACO subsidiary's cocoa bean processing capacity by over 40% by 2022, the group said.
