Barry Callebaut: Moody's upgrades rating to investment grade

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit rating agency Moody's on Tuesday upgraded Barry Callebaut to investment grade, due to the Swiss chocolate maker's improving operating performance and financial metrics.

Moody's has lifted its rating on the company to "Baa3," from "Ba1" with a stable outlook.

"Returning to investment grade status honors our continuous work on more efficient capital use, while still keeping the good growth momentum," said Barry Callebaut's chief financial officer, Remco Steenbergen.

"During the past years, we put consistent focus on strengthening our balance sheet and financial metrics. Moody's upgrade is a well-appreciated recognition for our efforts," he said.
