Bombardier: confirms backing of Alstom's pledges

(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier has confirmed its backing of Alstom's pledges ahead of its potential acquisition of its transport division.

These commitments answer Brussels' initial concerns about Alstom's proposed acquisition of Bombardier Transportation.

In particular, they include a divestiture of Alstom's Coradia Polyvalent and the Reichshoffen production site in France, as well as the sale of the Bombardier TALENT 3 platform and corresponding production facilities at its Hennigsdorf plant in Germany.

The proposed commitments are subject to approval by the European Commission.

Bombardier reinstates that the sale of Bombardier Transportation remains on track for a closing in the first half of 2021.
