Ontex: denies having been approached

(CercleFinance.com) - Ontex, the Belgian personal hygiene products specialist, whose share has lost almost a quarter of its value since the beginning of the year, last night reacted to reports in the press hinting at a potential purchase by American consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble.


The Belgian group issued a denial, declaring it had never been approached regarding such a transaction.

In the Brussels stock exchange, the Ontex share, which had climbed 4.2% yesterday, this morning fell by approximately 2%.
