Ageas: Q2 earnings up 39%

(CercleFinance.com) - Belgian insurance company Ageas has reported a 39% increase in net profit to 563.
4 million euros for Q2 2022, with premium income up 5% to nine billion euros, both in life and non-life.

Management said that both operationally and commercially, it has achieved very good results in all regions and product lines, highlighting the momentum of post-Covid sales in most Asian countries.

Thanks to the strong underlying performance in both Europe and in non-controlled partnerships in Asia, resulting in improved life margins and a solid combined ratio, the group confirmed its FY 2022 outlook for earnings of one billion euros.

Satisfied with its capital position and the generation of free capital, Ageas reinforces its commitment to growth for its dividend under Impact 24, and therefore announces an interim dividend of 1.5 euro per share.
