KBC: Q2 net income up 2%

(CercleFinance.com) - KBC Group has posted net income of 811 million euros for Q2 2022, up 2% y-o-y, with stronger contributions from Belgium and the Czech Republic offsetting a fall in international markets.

Sequentially, the Belgian bancassurer's quarterly net profit climbed 77%, despite pretty flat revenues at 2.12 billion euros, hurt by a contraction in fair value and trading-related income and net commission income.

"Our liquidity position remained strong, with an LCR of 158% and NSFR of 142%. Our capital base remained robust, with a fully loaded common equity ratio of 15.9%".

In line with its general dividend policy, the company will pay an interim dividend of one euro per share in November 2022, as an interim payment on the total dividend for FY 2022, it added.
