Solvay: record underlying EBITDA in Q1
(CercleFinance.com) - The Belgian chemist Solvay has reported a 54% increase in Q2 2022 underlying net profit to 369 million euros, with a record underlying EBITDA of 712 million euros, up 20% organically, despite cost inflation.
Net sales also reached a new record of over 3 billion euros, up 26.1% organically, with double-digit growth across all businesses and regions; driven by both price (+20%) and volume (+6%) increases.
For FY 2022, the Belgian chemical company saysit is now targeting mid-to-high single-digit EBITDA growth and free cash flow from continuing operations that is above 650 million euros.
