Solvay: 9m underlying EPS up 11%

(CercleFinance.com) - Solvay has published 9m 2018 underlying EPS from ongoing businesses of 6.
91 euros, up 11%, with underlying EBITDA of 1,725 million euros, down 1% (+6% LFL).

The robust growth of the aviation and automobile markets enabled advanced materials to offset the expected weakness of "smart devices" in Q3," said Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, CEO of the Belgian chemicals group.

Solvay expects its underlying EBITDA to increase by around 5% to 6% LFL in 2018, while it forecasts free cash flow from continued operations that is higher than its level in 2017.
