(CercleFinance.com) - GE today announced the launch of the Next Engineers program in three countries and four cities, Cincinnati and Greenville (USA), Stafford (UK) and Johannesburg (South Africa).

The program, which represents a commitment of up to 100 million dollars over 10 years, aims to increase the diversity of young people in engineering. It is aimed at 13 to 18 year olds and provides them with practical exposure to engineering concepts and careers.

Ultimately, scholarships will be awarded for engineering degrees. By 2030, the program aims to reach over 85,000 students in about 25 cities worldwide.
