Airbus: intends to lay off over 2,300 staff by 2021
(CercleFinance.com) - Yesterday, Airbus Defense and Space started the consultation process of its European Works Council regarding its restructuring.
The project presented to employee representatives plans to make 2,362 redundancies by 2021, including 829 in Germany, 357 in the UK, 630 in Spain, 404 in France and 142 in other countries. The division recorded a net orders/deliveries ratio of less than 1 for the third consecutive year, mainly due to the sluggishness of the space market and the postponement of several defense contracts, Airbus said.
