Nokia: announces string of deals, from 5G to security

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia will roll out for India's Vodafone Idea its next generation LTE and small cells telecom equipment so that subscribers can enjoy higher bandwidth, the Finnish company said on Tuesday.


Beyond expanding Vodafone Idea's LTE network, the initiative will ensure that Vodafone Idea's network is ready for 5G, Nokia said.

Nokia also said that it has been selected by a Cambodian Internet service provider for enterprise businesses, Sinet, to launch a new, high-speed broadband services in the country.

Finally, Nokia has announced that the Belgian start-up Room40 has adopted its video and audio security monitoring analytics solution to increase security and safety in various sites across Belgium.

The solution will use machine-learning algorithms to identify anomalies in thousands of simultaneous streams of video, audio and sensor information, and flag incidents in real-time, it said.
