Yum! Brands: Q2 above expectations
(CercleFinance.com) - Catering group Yum! Brands, which includes KFC and Pizza Hut has reported Q2 2018 EPS excluding extraordinary items that is up 20% at 82 cents, seven cents above the consensus.
Adjusted operating profit fell by 6%, despite overall sales growth of 4% excluding FX factors, led by KFC (+6%) and Taco Bell (+5%), while sales were flat at Pizza Hut.
“Second quarter core operating profit was consistent with our expectations and we are seeing good progress against our plans as we start the second half of the year,” said group CEO Greg Creed.
