Yum brands: exceeds expectations in Q2.
(CercleFinance.com) - Before Wall Street opened on Thursday, Yum Brands, the operator of fast food brands such as KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, reported EPS of 58 cents, down 6 cents over one year.
However, excluding extraordinary items, EPS largely exceeded expectations, reaching 68 cents, against the consensus of 61 cents.
Meanwhile, revenues fell by less than expected - down from 1.51 billion to 1.45 billion dollars, while the consensus was expecting 1.42 billion dollars.
Yum Brands also recorded a 2% rise in same-store sales, compared with 1.8% expected by the market.
