Whirlpool: raises quarterly dividend by 5 cents a share
(CercleFinance.com) - Late on Monday Whirlpool raised its quarterly dividend by five cents, increasing it for the sixth year in a row as the maker of KitchenAid appliances feels committed to returning "strong levels of cash" to shareholders.
The quarterly dividend will be increased to 1.15 dollar per share, from 1.10 dollar previously. The company said the higher dividend is payable on 15 June to shareholders on record as of 18 May.
"We remain confident in our plans for long-term value creation, and will continue to execute our balanced approach to capital allocation," said CEO Marc Bitzer.
