Walmart: opens new distribution center in Alabama
(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart said on Tuesday that it has opened a new 135 million dollar import distribution center in Mobile, Alabama, to support its stores in the South.
Announced in March 2017, the new storage and cross-dock facility will supply several regional logistics centers that support approximately 700 stores in the region.
The 2.6 million-square-foot facility will create over 750 jobs in the area, the retailer said.
