Visa: invests in Israeli fintech start-up

(CercleFinance.com) - Visa has made an investment in Behalf, an Israeli start-up that has developed technology to enable merchants to offer customers instant credit at sales outlets.

As part of the partnership, Visa will offer Behalf's small-business clients a credit-based payment solution that gives businesses instant financing for their business purchases, the group said.

The investment is part of Visa's 100 million dollar investment program in fintech companies.

Visa also said that its board of directors has appointed Denise Morrison, Campbell Soup's former chief executive officer, who will take office immediately.
