Viacom: completes merger with CBS
(CercleFinance.com) - US media firms Viacom and CBS late on Wednesday announced the completion of their merger, in a move designed to create "a premium content powerhouse".
The new company, to be called ViacomCBS, will create and deliver content for its own platforms and for others, it said.
ViacomCBS' catalog will include more than 140,000 premium TV episodes and 3,600 film titles, with an annual content investment of over 13 billion dollars.
ViacomCBS shares will begin trading on the Nasdaq market later today.
