Viacom: Q4 beats consensus
(CercleFinance.com) - Viacom has reported adjusted net profit from continuing operations that is down 20% at 321 million dollars.
However, at 0.79 dollar, corresponding EPS beat the consensus by three cents.
Revenues slipped 1% to 3.43 billion dollars, while the decline of 14% at its movies division (Paramount Pictures studios) was not fully offset by a 4% increase at its media network division.
Over the full year, the media and entertainment group posted adjusted EPS that is down 1% at 4.06 dollars, for revenues that are down in a similar proportion to 12.84 billion dollars (although up 1% excluding FX factors).
