Viacom: Paramount's 'Mission: Impossible' tops box office
(CercleFinance.com) - Viacom-owned Paramount Pictures' "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" topped the worldwide box office the past weekend, raking in a total of 153.
5 million dollars in 37 markets, audience company comScore said.
The sixth episode of the action franchise also topped the charts in North America, with a 61.5 million dollar debut, comScore added.
According to its domestic weekend box office estimates, Universal's feel-good musical "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" ranked second in North America, grossing 15 million dollars, while Sony's "Equalizer 2," came in third, with total takings of 14 million dollars.
