Verizon: new operating structure; three business units
(CercleFinance.com) - Verizon said on Monday that it will reorganize the company into three units, in a growth initiative instigated by its new chief executive.
Under CEO Hans Vestberg's plan, the telecoms company will now consist of units that focus on consumer, business and media with the Oath brand.
Verizon said the changes, which will be supported by a new network and IT organization, and corporate-wide staff functions as of 1 January 2019, should ensure first-to-market leadership ahead of 5G.
