UnitedHealth: collaboration with Walmart
(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart and UnitedHealth have announced the start of an initial 10-year, far-reaching collaboration, bringing together both companies' collective expertise to serve millions of people with affordable, high-quality health care services.
The collaboration will begin in 2023 with 15 Walmart Health locations in Florida and Georgia, before expanding to new regions, to ultimately serve hundreds of thousands of Medicare beneficiaries.
Optum, a UnitedHealth division, will support Walmart Health clinicians with analytics and decision support tools. The agreement may expand to other products and services over time, as well as to commercial and Medicaid beneficiaries.
