United Technologies: raises annual targets
(CercleFinance.com) - On the back of better-than-anticipated quarterly results, United Technologies raises its targets for 2018, to now aim for an adjusted EPS of between 7.
10 and 7.25 dollars, and revenues between 63.5 and 64.5 billion, compared to 6.95 to 7.15 dollars and 63 to 64.5 billion previously.
In its second quarter, the Pratt & Whitney aircraft engine and Otis lifts manufacturer achieved adjusted earnings per share up 6% to 1.97 dollars, beating average analysts' estimates by 12 cents.
The manufacturing conglomerate's revenues came out with a 9% rise to 16.7 billion dollars, with an organic growth of 6%, taking its fourth quarter into the range of an organic growth of at least 5%.
