Uber: completes purchase of Drizly app
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Uber Technologies announced that it had completed its acquisition of Drizly, a home delivery alcohol app, for about 1.
1 billion dollars.
The San Francisco-based company says it now plans to integrate Drizly's marketplace into its Uber Eats offering, where consumer demand for alcohol delivery has soared 200% over the past year.
In addition, the Drizly app will continue to exist as an independent brand.
Little reaction from investors at first though - the share is currently down about 1% in the first hour of trading on Wall Street.
