Tiffany: plans to renovate New York flagship store

said on Tuesday that it plans to completely revamp its iconic New York City flagship store in the spring of 2019.
Wanting to "redefine" modern luxury retail, the group also expects to increase investment, it said.
The store is expected to remain open for business throughout the process, using a temporary space at 6 East 57th Street.
The 10-story building located at 57th Street and 5th Avenue, owned by the jewelry company, was originally opened in 1940.
The works are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021, Tiffany said.
