3M: develops Covid-19 test with MIT
(CercleFinance.com) - The industrial conglomerate 3M announces that it is working with researchers at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to test a new rapid test to detect the virus that leads to the Covid-19 disease.
It said that accelerated research is underway to learn whether a simple-to-use diagnostic device can produce highly accurate results within minutes, while capable of being mass-produced.
The team is preparing to collaborate with the government's RADx Tech program to demonstrate the capabilities of the test and deploy it as quickly as possible. The project has received 500,000 dollars in funding from RADx Tech.
