3M: cuts targets for 2018
(CercleFinance.com) - 3M has adjusted its full-year targets, now expecting adjusted EPS of 9.
90 dollars to 10 dollars, instead of 10.20 dollars to 10.45 dollars previously, for organic sales growth in local currency of about 3%, against a previous range of between 3% and 4%.
The Minneapolis based conglomerate saw its Q3 2018 EPS increase by 10.7% to 2.58 dollars, thus missing the market consensus by 12 cents, with sluggish revenues (-0.2%) at 8.2 billion dollars.
In organic terms and in local currencies, revenue rose by 1.3%. Growth in the electronics-energy, industrial and security-graphics divisions offset falls in the health and consumer divisions.
