Texas Instruments: Q4 results in line with estimates

Earnings were weighed on by an extraordinary cost of 75 cents per share related to the impact of the US tax reform. Excluding extraordinary items, EPS reached 1.09 dollar per share, in line with analysts' estimates.
In terms of business, the semiconductor manufacturer's revenues increased by 9.8% to 3.75 billion dollars, against 3.74 billion dollars expected by the consensus. Analogue chip sales revenue rose by 11% to 2.5 billion dollars, and the integrated chip business generated revenue that was up 20% at 896 million dollars, while revenue from other businesses fell by 16% to 319 million dollars, Aurel BGC specified.
Texas Instrument targets EPS of between 1.01 dollar to 1.17 dollar for the current quarter, with revenue of between 3.49 billion to 3.79 billion dollars. Meanwhile, the market expects respectively 1.06 dollar and 3.63 billion dollars.
