Tesla: to new heights with Jefferies' backing
(CercleFinance.com) - Tesla is approaching new records on Wall Street on Wednesday, thanks to upbeat comments from Jefferies, which raised its target price for the stock.
Half an hour into trading, the stock was up 4% to over 2,100 dollars, after reaching 2,115 dollars at one point, close to its previous peak of 2,129 dollars.
In a report about the electric car manufacturer, Jefferies analysts say that they have raised their target price for the stock from 1200 dollars to 2500 dollars, believing that the "permanent revolution" driven by the Californian group is continuing.
Jefferies - which has a buy rating on the stock - says it looks forward to the group's upcoming "Battery Day", which could prove informative about the "million mile" battery project.
