Sprint: Softbank-Deutsche Telekom set to agree on price?

(CercleFinance.com) - SoftBank is prepared to accept a merger of its subsidiary Sprint with T-mobile US, a US subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, by exchanging securities that would value Sprint at close to its current market price, according to Bloomberg, which cites related sources.

Although both parties had not yet agreed on the exact value chosen, SoftBank would therefore abandon the idea of a premium for the fourth largest mobile operator in the US, which has a market capitalisation of close to 34 billion dollars.

Bloomberg underlines that based on current market values, an exchange of securities at par would give almost 33% of the capital of the new company to SoftBank, while Deutsche Telekom would hold about 39%.
