Red Hat: Q1 EPS outstrip expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening, Red Hat announced adjusted Q1 net profit that is up 40% at 186 million dollars, or exactly one dollar per share, while the consensus was expecting 14 cents less.


The open source software company's adjusted operating margin reached 21.7%, while its revenues rose by 15% (+18% at constant exchange rates) to 934 million dollars, with 87% of revenues coming from subscriptions.

For the receord, the group based in Raleigh, North Carolina does not provide forecasts for its current year, as it is currently being acquired by the IT giant IBM.
