Qualcomm: to buy remaining stake in RF360 joint venture
(CercleFinance.com) - Qualcomm said on Monday that it will buy the remaining stake of its RF360 business from its Japanese joint venture (JV) partner TDK for about 1.

The joint venture makes RF front-end (RFFE) filters which enable Qualcomm to deliver complete 4G/5G RFFE solutions.
With this deal, the US mobile chipmaker will be able to provide customers with a complete end-to-end solution from modem to antenna, including a solution integrating power amplifiers, filters, and switching, it said.
TDK Electronics' remaining share in the joint venture was valued at 1.15 billion dollars in August 2019, although the total purchase price, including the initial investment, payments to TDK based on sales by the joint venture, and development obligations, will reach approximately 3.1 billion dollars.
