Qualcomm: launches 100 million dollars AI investment fund
(CercleFinance.com) - US wireless chipmaker Qualcomm on Wednesday launched a 100 million dollar investment fund that will focus on artificial intelligence startups.
The California-based company - which defines itself as a "pioneer" of on-device AI - said investments will aim at new technology for autonomous cars, robotics and machine learning platforms.
As part of the fund, Qualcomm has already invested in AnyVision, a face, body, and object recognition company that minimises the spread of data, mitigating privacy concerns, it said.
