Qualcomm: launches 16 billion dollar share buyback
(CercleFinance.com) - Qualcomm will buy back 16 billion dollars worth of its common stock using existing cash resources through accelerated repurchases, the San Diego-based chipmaker said in a statement on Thursday.
Qualcomm said that it has entered into agreements with Bank of America, Citibank, and Morgan Stanley to repurchase common stock, with an initial delivery of approximately 178 million shares.
The buybacks come as the company continues to execute on a previously announced 30 billion dollars stock repurchase program.
Qualcomm said it remains on track to complete a large majority of the program by the end of fiscal year 2019.
