Qualcomm: settles intellectual property dispute with Taiwan
(CercleFinance.com) - Qualcomm has reached a settlement with the Taiwan Fair Trade Commission (TFTC) over litigation regarding intellectual property, the chipmaker said on Friday.
As part of the settlement, Qualcomm will have to pay approximately 93 million dollars to the TFTC.
In addition, Qualcomm will launch several commercial initiatives in Taiwan over the next five years for the mobile and semiconductor ecosystem, including 5G collaboration.
