Philip Morris: Greek plant ends cigarette production
(CercleFinance.com) - Philip Morris International said on Wednesday that its Greek plant in Aspropyrgos, NorthWest of Athens, has become its first factory to end cigarette production, now exclusively focusing on smoke-free products.
The 300 million euro project includes the construction of three new buildings and the replacement of cigarette production lines with high-tech facilities making 10,000 smoke-free tobacco units per minute, PMI said.
The facility is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2018.
