Pfizer: Q1 net profit jumps74% to $9.34bn

(CercleFinance.com) - Pfizer has reported Q1 2022 adjusted net income that is up 74% at 9.
34 billion dollars, or 1.62 dollar per share, on revenue that is up 77% to nearly 25.7 billion dollars (+82% in operating terms).

This strong growth continued to reflect the momentum of the vaccines division, where revenues tripled to over 14.9 billion dollars, again driven by demand for Comirnaty, developed with BioNTech for Covid-19.

For the full year, the healthcare giant is adjusting - for purely accounting reasons - its target range for adjusted EPS to between 6.25 and 6.45 dollars and confirms that it expects revenues of between 98 and 102 billion dollars.

Seemingly little reaction though - after closing down 1.5% yesterday, the share is down a further 0.7% in pre-market trading today.
