Pfizer: Viatris, a new company combined with Mylan
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday afternoon Pfizer announced that it has completed the transaction to spin off its Upjohn business and combine it with Mylan N.
V. to form Viatris.
Under the terms of the deal, structured entirely in shares, Upjohn was sold to Pfizer shareholders through a pro-rata distribution and then immediately combined with Mylan to take the name Viatris.
However, this seemingly comes as no big deal for the market, with the Pfizer share down over 4% in early trading on Monday.
