Pfizer: signs deal with Canada for Covid-19

(CercleFinance.com) - Pfizer Canada and BioNTech today announced that they have reached an agreement with the Canadian government regarding the delivery of the SARS-CoV-2 mRNA-based candidate vaccine BNT162.

The delivery is subject to clinical success and approval by the Canadian Ministry of Health.

The financial terms of the agreement have not been announced. At the request of the Canadian government, the candidate vaccine will be delivered in 2021.

Pfizer and BioNTech have initiated a Phase 2b/3 study and still plan to seek approval from October 2020 and to deliver up to 100 million doses of vaccine globally by the end of 2020 and approximately 1.3 billion doses of vaccine by the end of 2021.
