Pfizer: positive results for eczema ointment in children

(CercleFinance.com) - Pfizer said a study has showed its steroid-free topical treatment Crisaborole was well-tolerated in babies aged between 3 months and 24 months with mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis - also known as eczema.

The data from the trial supports the primary endpoint to examine the ointment's safety, and are consistent with previous clinical trial experience, the US drugmaker said.

Crisaborole ointment, 2%, is currently approved in a number of countries for mild-to-moderate AD in patients of two years of age and older.
