JCPenney: names new CFO

C. Penney said on Tuesday that it has appointed Bill Wafford, a former executive of KPMG and Walgreens Boots Alliance, as new chief financial officer from April.
Wafford most recently served as chief financial officer for US vitamins and supplements retailer The Vitamin Shoppe, where he reduced debt, decreased inventory and improved operating income, JCPenney said.
Wafford - who succeeds interim chief financial officer Michael Fung - will be reporting to CEO Jill Soltau, the company said.
